JKYF distributes Rs 6.15 Lakh among 19 Affected Children, Youth of Srinagar district.

J&K Yateem Foundation today distributed cheques amounting to Rupees Six Lakh Fifteen Thousand (Rs 6.15 Lakh) among 19 affected children and youth of various areas of district Srinagar, at a simple but impressive function held at Bait-ul-Hilal Jawhar Nagar Srinagar. The cash relief is part of joint rehabilitation programme with "Save The Children", wherein both the organizations work for strengthening humanitarian protection, livelihood support and access to healthcare for conflict affected children and their families in Jammu & Kashmir.

On the occasion, the speakers called for concrete and concerted efforts by cross section of people so that the initiatives taken up for the welfare and rehabilitation of orphans, widows and destitute could become result oriented and successful. The speakers also stressed the need to work on exterminating the social evils and vices like drug addiction.

J&K Yateem Foundation Chairman Mohammad Rafiq Lone, JKYF District Representative Mohammad Iqbal Beigh , JKYF District Representative Ganderbal Mohammad Altaf Sofi and Project Manager Shafeeq ur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
